Business Description

We are a venture-backed rocket company that is developing new launch vehicles powered by lower-cost hybrid propulsion technologies. We have a bilateral collaborative research and development agreement (propulsion technology and systems) with the defence science and technology group (DSTG) of the department of defence.  The focus areas are: Propulsion technologies and materials; Rocket motor testing; Vehicle management systems such as guidance and control, telemetry, instrumentation, avionics and software; and Vehicle structures

Projects / tasks

There are a wide range of projects available from Web-based launch planning and scheduling, Reusability of Rockets, High Temperature and High Impact Resilient Aerospace Materials, Design and Build of a Hold Down and Release Mechanism, describing the Environment of Low Earth Orbit, Cryogenic Composites and Carbon Fibre Manufacturing just to name a few.

Technical skills

Depending on the task it does vary:

  • The Web-based launch planning and scheduling project would require Software engineering/computer science and Knowledge of web-based platforms
  • The Reusability of Rockets project would require: Mechanical engineering, Knowledge of aerodynamics and thermodynamics, Research reporting skills
  • The Carbon Fibre Manufacturing project will require Mechanical/ material engineering, Hands on manufacturing, Research and testing of materials

Well presented, good communication skills with the ability to work as part of and in a team environment
