Business description:

We are predominantly a mining equipment manufacturer (especially underground service vehicles). In parallel with that we undertake contract build for partners, such as manufacturing of buses for BusTech/Metro and the Land 8116 defence project with Hanwha.

Projects / tasks:

Front end loading for Land 8116 Project, of which there are two key streams that an intern could be placed into depending on preference:

• Project management

o Project definition
o Costing
o Schedule and sequencing

• Engineering and design

o Design of jigs and fixtures
o Process design
o Engineering and process development for welding and machining

Technical skills:

CAD and mechanical aptitude for Engineering – General project acumen for PM

Intern interpersonal qualities:

Positive attitude, Work ethic
