Business Description

Manufacturers of Propulsion and gyro stabilization systems,  Submarine Valves and castings,  Ride control foils up to 15 tonnes. Current Defence work includes : Collins Class valves;  Collins Class machinery components;  CPP Propeller assessment and repair; Austal Ride Controls – LCS for USA delivery.

Projects / tasks

  • Research, document and present emerging propulsion technology developments to Propulsion Team
  • Development of a CFD model for prediction of propeller flow phenomenon
  • Develop automated propeller geometry data generation package for integration into propeller modelling software
  • Design of propeller installation/removal tooling

Technical skills

3D CAD modelling and drafting – either NX Unigraphics or Solidworks.  ANSYS experience is ideal but not essential.  Knowledge of G code is ideal but not essential  Office document and spreadsheets.

Intern interpersonal qualities

Excellent communications and written skills. Highly motivated towards marine propulsion, design, and manufacturing.
