Our company is a systems engineering company providing purpose-designed logistics platforms, shelters and systems to multiple industries in Australia and abroad. Working on diverse and challenging projects, our focus is designing and fabricating innovative solutions to meet our customers’ unique requirements. Having delivered over A$120 million worth of projects in the defence, emergency services, mining and resources sectors, our past projects include the ISO 1C Flatracks and Cargo Gate Kits, the Container Roll-Out Warehousing System (CROWS™), transportable cyclone shelters, and reconfigurable modular training facilities.

As an intern with our company, you will be exposed to all aspects of the engineering process from specifications, scheduling and costing, to resolving engineering design and test issues, assessing and executing design changes and drawing releases. You will liaise with fabricators and suppliers in Australia and internationally, and learn the process of production documentation, test reports and FEA analysis.

Projects / tasks:

The intern will develop a well-rounded understanding and gain experience in mechanical design by working on projects that will be focused around our current and projected Defence projects.

Technical skills:

Solid works CAD program, MS Office based programs.

Intern interpersonal qualities:

Research skills, ability to identify the requirements of the task, report writing, ability to liaise effectively with other staff in both the Engineering and Manufacturing teams.
