Projects / tasks:

Autonomous Munitions Handling:

  • Mechatronic modification of an automated conveyor to increase (mock) ammunition load storage capacity
  • Development of AI and machine learning suites (e.g., neural networks, training algorithms, data science, point cloud manipulation) for computer vision and perception systems applications
  • System requirements writing and management of testing for verification and validation of design
  • Design of proposed new ammunition packaging for use with robotic manipulators
  • Integration of robotic controller for manipulation of end-effectors and robotic arms
  • Product solution evaluation and procurement
  • Involvement with end-to-end robotic design and integration

Autonomous Resupply Vehicle:

  • Integration of multiple systems on a future autonomous ARV (ammunition resupply vehicle)
  • Working with emerging robotic technology and design
  • Design of proposed new ammunition packaging for use with ARVs

Technical skills:

  • CAD programming preferably SolidWorks)
  • Programming exposure (preferably Python/C++)
  • Web development (JavaScript/HTML/CSS)
  • MS Office based programs & report writing
  • Basic understanding of electrical/mechanical systems and design

Intern interpersonal qualities:

The intern needs to have a passion for technology and be naturally curious. They will be willing to learn and enjoy solving problems with technology.
