The DIIP gives engineering and technology students the opportunity to gain meaningful, paid industry experience while contributing to projects that support Australia’s defence capability. Through hands-on work with defence industry SMEs, students can apply their academic learning in a real-world environment, build professional networks, explore future career pathways, and develop the skills, confidence and industry knowledge needed to launch a successful career.
Interns receive a range of benefits including:
