Industry Host Benefits
By participating in the DIIP, Industry Hosts are supporting the development of a future talent pool for both their own organisation but also the broader defence industry. The DIIP allows Interns to discover pathways to rewarding and exciting careers, by providing the opportunity to work on cutting edge projects, developing in-demand skills, using advanced systems and showcasing the extensive career pathways available within the defence industry.
DIIP Industry Hosts receive a range of benefits including:
- Financial support, through the reimbursement of Intern wages, currently set at $1129.71 for a 37.5-hour week*
- An additional payment of $547.00 per week to cover hosting costs
- Access to motivated university students nearing degree completion, who bring current knowledge and skills in engineering and technology
- The opportunity to contribute to building critical capabilities by supporting the development of the next generation of defence industry professionals
- Participation in a structured internship program with expert support in recruitment, placement, and ongoing Intern management.
