Eligibility
To be eligible to participate in the DIIP you must be:
- an Australian citizen
- 18 years or older
- currently enrolled at an Australian University, completing third or fourth year of an engineering or technology undergraduate degree
- able to demonstrate strong academic results
- eligible to obtain a security clearance to the required level, if necessary
- able to commit to the 12-week (450 hour) internship to be completed between December 2024 and May 2025 on a full time or part time basis
- able to obtain necessary workplace clearances prior to commencement of the internship
- a student who has not previously participated in the DIIP, or any earlier versions of the program
Schedule
Internships can be completed in multiple forms including:
- 12 week block over the summer vacation period
- Combination of full-time hours over the summer vacation period, and part time hours during semester one
- 12 week block during semester one
