Supporting the DIIP

University FacultiesWork Integrated Learning Teams and Career Services can engage with the DIIP by familiarising eligible students with the availability of Defence Industry internships and the benefits of DIIP participation.

The DIIP has existed for over 12 years, in various forms, offering high quality, paid placements to over 1000 undergraduate students, providing meaningful work experiences and showcasing genuine career pathways within an exciting and important growth sector. Currently focused on the provision of internships to third and fourth year undergraduate engineering and technology students, the DIIP aims to complement course curriculum, provide high quality and practical work-based experiences, expand the employability skills of students and support graduate employment outcomes.
